Corona virus is an infectious disease caused by a new element of corona virus. CO stands for Corona, VI stands for Virus and D stands for disease. This disease was referred to as 2019 novel corona virus. An outbreak of the novel corona virus was first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan, China.

The virus is primarily transmitted from person to person. When and infected person cough, sneezes, or exhales, droplets are expelled and can land in another person’s nose and mouth and are inhaled into the lungs.
The virus can be transmitted by an infected person without showing symptoms of illness. When a person touches an infected surface and then touches mouth, nose or eyes he is infected with corona virus.
Common sign of infection include respiratory symptoms, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties, repeated shaking, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and lose of sense of taste or smell.
Most people infected with the Corona virus experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment.
Elderly people with high blood pressure, heart or lung disease, cancer or diabetes, appear to be more prone to severe illness. Corona virus has spread around the world like pandemic. The pandemic is moving like a wave. Million of people around the globe die of Corona virus.
Countries are racing to slow the spread of the disease by testing and tarting patients., quarantining citizens, cancelling large gathering, closing educational institutions and making people aware of health rules. Corona virus has already created social, economic and political crises across the world.
Since there is no vaccine as yet, preventive measures should be taken like wearing masks in public places, maintaining physical distance at least two meters, staying at home, avoiding close contact, washing hand up-to 20 seconds, avoiding public gathering and staying away from infected person.

করোনাভাইরাস একটি সংক্রামক রোগ যা করোনাভাইরাসের নতুন উপাদান দ্বারা সৃষ্ট। Corona থেকে CO, Virus থেকে VI এবং disease থেকে D নিয়ে এই রোগের নামকরণ করা হয়েছে। নোভেল করোনাভাইরাস রোগটি ২০১৯ সালের রোগ হিসাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়।
করোনাভাইরাসের প্রাদুর্ভাব প্রথম প্রকাশিত হয়েছিল ২০১৯ সালের ডিসেম্বরে চীনের উহান শহরে। ভাইরাসটি প্রাথমিকভাবে এক ব্যক্তি থেকে অন্য ব্যক্তিতে সংক্রামিত হয়।
যখন কোন সংক্রামিত ব্যক্তি কাশি, হাঁচি বা শ্বাস ছাড়েন তখন ফোঁটা বের হয় এবং অন্য ব্যক্তির নাকের উত্তর মুখের মধ্যে নেমে যেতে পারে এবং বাস নেয়ার মাধ্যমে ফুসফুসে প্রবেশ করতে পারে।
কোনও সংক্রামিত ব্যক্তি অসুস্থতার লক্ষণ ছাড়াও ভাইরাসটি দ্বারা সংক্রমিত হতে পারে। যখন কোনও ব্যক্তি কোনও সংক্রামিত পৃষ্ঠকে স্পর্শ করে এবং তারপরে মুখ, নাক বা চোখের ছোঁয়ায় সে করোনা ভাইরাস দ্বারা আক্রান্ত হয়।
সংক্রমণের সাধারণ লক্ষণগুলোর মধ্যে রয়েছে শ্বাস প্রশ্বাসের লক্ষণ, জ্বর, কাশি, শ্বাসকষ্ট এবং শ্বাসকষ্ট, বারবার কাঁপুনি, পেশী ব্যথা, মাথা ব্যথা, গলা ব্যথা এবং স্বাদ বা গন্ধ অনুভূতি হ্রাস।
করোনাভাইরাস দ্বারা সংক্রামিত বেশিরভাগ লোক শ্বাসকষ্টের মতো সমস্যায় ভোগেন এবং বিশেষ চিকিত্সার প্রয়োজন ছাড়াই সুস্থ হয়ে ওঠেন।
উচ্চ রক্তচাপ, হার্ট বা ফুসফুসের রোগ, ক্যান্সার বা ডায়াবেটিস সহ প্রবীণরা গুরুতর অসুস্থ হওয়ার ঝুঁকিতে বেশি দেখা যায়। করোনাভাইরাস মহামারীর মতো ছড়িয়ে পড়েছে বিশ্বজুড়ে। মহামারীটি ঢেউয়ের মতো চলছে। করোনাভাইরাস এ সারা বিশ্বের কয়েক মিলিয়ন মানুষ মারা যায়।

রোগীদের পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষা, নাগরিকদের পৃথক রাখা, বিশাল সমাবেশ বাতিল, শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ করে এবং জনগণকে স্বাস্থ্য বিধি সম্পর্কে সচেতনের মাধ্যমে দেশগুলি এই রোগের বিস্তারকে কমিয়ে আনার জন্য দৌড়ঝাঁপ করছে।
করোনাভাইরাস ইতিমধ্যে বিশ্বজুড়ে সামাজিক, অর্থনৈতিক এবং রাজনৈতিক সঙ্কট তৈরি করেছে। যেহেতু এখনও কোনো ভ্যাকসিন নেই, তাই সর্বজনীন স্থানে মুখোশ পরা, কমপক্ষে দুই মিটার শারীরিক দূরত্ব বজায় রাখা, বাড়িতে থাকা, ঘনিষ্ঠ যোগাযোগ এড়ানো, ২০ সেকেন্ড পর্যন্ত হাত ধোয়া, জনসমাগম এড়ানো এবং দূরে থাকার মতো প্রতিরোধমূলক ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করা উচিত।
