Introduction: The prize giving ceremony of any school is a long cherished function. This ceremony is very exciting and enjoyable. This ceremony is held in every school once a year. A few days ago, the last prize giving ceremony of our school was held.
Decoration: The whole school campus was decorated very wonderfully. Green leaves, flowers, festoons, coloured papers were used in this decoration. A grand gate was set up on the entrance. A big stage was set up on the west side of the field. There were enough seats of the stage for the guests and teachers.
Guests: The chief guest was the honorable Education Minister. He is the ex-student of our school. The special guest was the honorable DC. Moreover, many other guests and guardians joined the ceremony.
Beginning of the ceremony: The chief guest and the special guest came at 2:00 pm. They were received very warmly. Just after their arrival, the ceremony began. The ceremony started with the national anthem. Then a student recited from The Holy Quran. Our headmaster presided over the meeting.
Description of the ceremony: At first the headmaster read out the annual report of the school. Then our English teacher called out the names of the winners. And the chief guest handed over the prize. I won two prize. Then the chief guest delivered an instructive speech. He congratulated the winners and consoled the losers. At last, the headmaster thanked ail and declared the ending.
Conclusion: Such a ceremony is really enjoyable and educative. So, every student eagerly waits for this ceremony.

সাজসজ্জা: পুরো বিদ্যালয় প্রাঙ্গণ খুব সুন্দর করে সাজানো হয়েছিল। এই সাজসজ্জায় সবুজ পাতা, ফুল, ফেস্টুন, রঙিন কাগজ ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। প্রবেশপথে একটি বিশাল গেট স্থাপন করা হয়েছিল। মাঠের পশ্চিম পাশে একটি বড় মঞ্চ তৈরি করা হয়। মঞ্চে অতিথি ও শিক্ষকদের জন্য পর্যাপ্ত আসন ছিল।
অতিথিবৃন্দ: এতে প্রধান অতিথি ছিলেন মাননীয় শিক্ষামন্ত্রী। সে আমাদের বিদ্যালয় প্রাক্তন ছাত্র। বিশেষ অতিথি ছিলেন মাননীয় জেলা প্রশাসক। তাছাড়া অনুষ্ঠানে আরো অনেক অতিথি ও অভিভাবক যোগ দেন।
অনুষ্ঠানের সূচনা: দুপুর ২টায় প্রধান অতিথি ও বিশেষ অতিথিরা আসেন। তাদের খুব সাদরে গ্রহণ করা হয়। তাদের আসার পরপরই অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হয়। জাতীয় সংগীতের মাধ্যমে অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হয়। এরপর এক ছাত্র পবিত্র কোরআন থেকে তেলাওয়াত করেন। আমাদের প্রধান শিক্ষক সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন।
অনুষ্ঠানটির বর্ণনা: প্রথমে বিদ্যালয়ের বার্ষিক প্রতিবেদন পাঠ করেন প্রধান শিক্ষক। তারপর আমাদের ইংরেজি শিক্ষক বিজয়ীদের নাম ডাকলেন। আর পুরস্কার তুলে দেন প্রধান অতিথি। আমি দুটি পুরস্কার জিতেছি। এরপর প্রধান অতিথি বক্তব্য রাখেন। তিনি বিজয়ীদের অভিনন্দন ও পরাজিতদের সান্ত্বনা জানান। সবশেষে প্রধান শিক্ষক সকলকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়ে সমাপ্তি ঘোষণা করেন।
উপসংহার: এমন অনুষ্ঠান সত্যিই আনন্দদায়ক এবং শিক্ষণীয়। তাই, প্রতিটি ছাত্র অধীর আগ্রহে এই অনুষ্ঠানের জন্য অপেক্ষা করে।
