Composition: The Season I Like Best (বাংলা অর্থসহ)
Indroduction: Bangladesh is the darling and blessed child of nature. Nature decorates her different ways at different times. On this basis, Bangladesh is divided into six seasons. The rainy season is one of them. I like the rainy season very much.

Formation: The rainy seasons consists of two Bangla months, Ashar and Shraban. The main quality of rainy season is rain. This rain is caused by monsoon. Monsoon brings plenty of vapour. As a result, in the rainy season it rains heavily.
Description: In the rain season, most of the time the sky remains covered with cloud. In some days, the sun is not seen. It rains cats and dogs. Sometimes, the rain continues for a few days. Rivers, canals and ponds become full of water.
Merits / Advantages: Bangladesh is an agricultural and riverine country. So, generally, the rainy season is a blessing for Bangladesh. Rain water saves our irrigation expense. Besides, rain water makes the soil fertile. As a ressult, we can have / get good harvest. On the other hand, we can easily go from one place to another by river ways. The rainy days give us much plesure and entertainment too.
demerits / Disadvantages: The rainy season has some bad sides too. The roads become muddy and slippery. People can’t go to work. Students can’t go to school. The day labourers and poor people can’t earn. As a result, sometimes, they are to starve. Moreover, excessive rainfull causes flood. This flood destroys lots of lives, goods, houses, crops etc.
Conclusion: In fine, we can say that though the rainy season has some bad sides, it is a great blessing for us. For this, all wait eagerly to welcome the rainy season.

ভূমিকা: বাংলাদেশ প্রকৃতির সুন্দরী ও আশীর্বাদপুষ্ট শিশু। প্রকৃতি তাকে সজ্জিত করে বিভিন্নভাবে বিভিন্ন সময়ে। এর ভিত্তিতে বাংলাদেশ বিভক্ত ছয়টি ঋতুতে। বর্ষাকাল তার মধ্যে একটি। আমি পছন্দ করি বর্ষকালকে খুব বেশি।
গঠন: বর্ষাকালে আছে দুটি মাস আষাঢ় ও শ্রাবণ। বর্ষাকালের প্রধান গুণ বর্ষা। এই বৃষ্টি সংগঠিত মৌসুমি বায়ুর জন্য। মৌসুমি বায়ু বয়ে আনে প্রচুর জলীয়বাষ্প। ফলে, বর্ষাকালে প্রচুর বৃষ্টিপাত হয়।
বর্ণনা: বর্ষাকালে অধিকাংশ সময় আকাশ ঢাকা থাকে মেঘে। কোনো কোনো দিন সূর্য দেখা যায় না। বৃষ্টি হয় মুষলধারে। কোনো কোনো সময় বৃষ্টি হতে থাকে কয়েকদিন ধরে। নদীগুলো, খালগুলো, পুকুরগুলো পানিতে পরিপূর্ণ হয়ে যায়।
উপকারিতা / সুবিধাসমূহ: বাংলাদেশ একটি কৃষিপ্রধান ও নদীমাতৃক দেশ। তাই, সাধারণত বর্ষাকাাল একটি আশীর্বাদ বাংলাদেশের জন্য। বৃষ্টির পানি বাঁচায় আমাদের সেচের খরচ। অধিকন্তু, বৃষ্টির পানি মাটিকে করে উর্বর। ফলে, আমরা পাই ভালো ফসল। পক্ষন্তরে, আমরা সহজে যেতে পারি এক স্থান থেকে অন্য স্থানে নদীপথে। বৃষ্টির দিনগুলো আমাদের দেয় প্রচুর আনন্দ ও বিনোদন।

অপকারিতা / অসুবিধাসমূহ: বর্ষাকালের আছে কিছু খারাপ দিকও। রাস্তাঘাটগুলো হয়ে যায়কর্দমাক্ত ও পিচ্ছিল। লোকজন যেতে পারে না কাজেকর্মে। ছাত্রছাত্রীরা যেতে পারে না বিদ্যালয়ে। দিনমজুরেরা ও গরিব লোকেরা উপার্জন করতে পারে না। ফলে কোনো কোনো সময় তাদেরকে অনাহারে থাকতে হয়। অধিকন্তু, অতিরিক্ত বৃষ্টিপাত ঘটায় বন্যা। এই বন্যা ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ করে প্রচুর জীবনের, জিনিসপত্রের, ঘরবাড়ির, ফসলের ইত্যাদি।
উপসংহার: পরিশেষে, আমরা বলতে পারি যে, যদিও বর্ষাকালে আছে কিছু খারাপ দিক কিন্তু ইহা খুব আশীর্বাদেরও আমাদের জন্য। এজন্য সবাই অপেক্ষা করে থাকে আগ্রহের সাথে বর্ষাকালকে স্বাগত জানাতে।
